Product Overview

3M Scotch-Weld DP110 Gray is a gray, fast-curing, flexible two-part epoxy adhesive designed for industrial applications requiring bonding strength, flexibility and fast assembly. According to 3M product information, DP110 Gray has an approximately 10-minute work life, reaches handling strength in about 20 minutes at room temperature, and fully cures in approximately 48 hours at 22°C / 72°F

  • Metal and plastic assembly bonding
  • Electronics and precision machinery
  • Automotive and transportation components
  • Industrial maintenance and structural repair

Key Features

  • Gray two-part epoxy adhesive
  • Fast curing with handling strength in approximately 20 minutes
  • 1:1 mix ratio for convenient metering, mixing and dispensing
  • Flexible when cured, suitable for bonding dissimilar materials
  • Maintains good shear and peel strength
  • Helps provide a strong bond under vibration and impact
  • Controlled-flow formula for easier application and positioning
  • Good adhesion to many plastics and metals
  • Suitable for use with 3M Duo-Pak / EPX dispensing systems
  • Suitable for bonding metals, plastics, wood, ceramics, concrete and composites

Typical Applications

3M DP110 Gray is suitable for industrial bonding applications requiring fast curing, flexibility and multi-substrate adhesion.

Typical applications include:

  • Metal-to-plastic bonding
  • Metal-to-composite bonding
  • Ceramic, wood and concrete bonding
  • Multi-material industrial assembly
  • Electronic component fixing
  • Small structural component bonding
  • Industrial repair and maintenance
  • Bonding applications requiring vibration and impact resistance
  • Dissimilar material bonding
  • General industrial bonding, filleting and localized fixing

Handling and Use Recommendations

  • Avoid heavy pressure, dropping or cartridge deformation during handling.
  • Before application, make sure the bonding surface is clean, dry and free from oil, dust, oxide layers, release agents and other contaminants.
  • When using Duo-Pak cartridges, insert the cartridge into a 3M EPX applicator, dispense a small amount first to confirm that both A and B components flow evenly, then attach the mixing nozzle for dispensing.
  • The A and B components should be fully mixed at the 1:1 ratio to achieve consistent bonding performance.
  • After dispensing, assemble the parts within the working time and keep them fixed during curing to prevent movement.
  • When using solvents for surface cleaning, keep away from ignition sources and follow the solvent supplier’s safety instructions.
