Product Overview

3M Scotch-Weld DP604NS Black 48.5ml is a black, rapid-setting, two-component polyurethane adhesive. According to 3M’s September 2024 technical data sheet, DP604NS is supplied as 1:1 ratio liquids in Duo-Pak cartridges, available in 48.5ml and 400ml configurations. When used with the EPX applicator system, the two components can be metered, mixed and dispensed as a bubble-free, non-sag paste.

This adhesive is designed for applications requiring fast setting, flexible bonding and adhesion to dissimilar substrates. 3M states that DP604NS can be used for bonding materials such as concrete, ceramic, wood, plastic, rubber and metal, and offers fast curing, low-temperature flexibility and non-sag handling.

Handling and Use Recommendations

• Avoid heavy pressure, dropping or cartridge deformation during handling.
• Before application, make sure the bonding surface is clean and dry.
• For higher bonding strength, clean, abrade or treat the surface properly according to the substrate type.
• When using Duo-Pak cartridges, insert the cartridge into a 3M EPX applicator, dispense a small amount first to confirm that both A and B components flow evenly, then attach the mixing nozzle for dispensing.
• The A and B components must be fully mixed at the specified 1:1 ratio to achieve optimum performance.
• After dispensing, assemble the parts within the working time and keep them fixed during curing to prevent movement.
